Cool Social Media Tool - MemoLane

This project relates a lot to my idea of sharing social media through timelines. It’s a social media tool that aggregates all your posts from various social media profiles and allows for you to view them in a timeline sequence.
The coolest feature of this site is that you can create stories. Stories allow for you to choose content to feature within one ‘storyline’ - grab any and all posts related to a story topic (i.e. My Trip to Europe) and everything can be viewed in a timeline sequence based on your story topic of choice! Cool!
People can collaborate on stories too, which means you could pull together a bunch of content from different profiles to create stories from different perspectives. I can see this being used by people working on projects together, who want to compile all their team member’s relevant social media posts in one place.
All in all the concept seems super cool. I had a lot of trouble loading all of my profiles into Memolane, but I assume that’s because there’s a ridiculous amount of content and the project is still in beta mode.
Another similar project is the Momento app: http://www.momentoapp.com/. It’s handy in that it also aggregates all your social media content, but I think it’s strongest feature is that it allows for you to search through your own content. If ever you’re wondering what you did on a certain day, you can have a look at your online presence for the day. Or if you’re wondering how many times you’ve used the word ‘frustrated’ in the past month, you can easily search and uncover such answers!

I’ve made the most amazing friends there, seen the bands that have changed my life there, met the boy…
